New OMA release with 1706 genomes

We have just released the latest update of the OMA Browser. It is the 17th release covering 1706 genomes.

For this release we redesigned the webpage entirely and added some new functionalities such as the new synteny viewer, the newly predicted homeologs for wheat and the improved help pages.

This release comprises now 1706 species, including 11 new plant genomes (Physcomitrella patens, Oryza brachyantha, Oryza glaberrima, Oryza sativa subsp. indica, Brachypodium distachyon, Aegilops tauschii, Triticum aestivum, Setaria italica,  Solanum tuberosum and Selaginella moellendorffii) and 10 new animals, i.e. the alpaca, the spotted gar, the blind cave fish, the sheep, the red fire ant, the pacific oyster, the filarial nematode worm, the monarch butterfly, Drosophila yakuba and Drosophila mojavensis. In this release we updated again many common model organisms. You can find a detailed list of all the covered species on our website (http://omabrowser.org/cgi-bin/gateway.pl?f=InfoMatrix).

As usual, the data of the previous releases is still available for download.

Release 16 with 1613 genomes

Dear OMA users,

We have just released the latest update of the OMA Browser. It is the 16th relase covering 1613 genomes.
For this release we added 5 new plant genomes and 2 new animals, i.e. the Domestic Duck and Ficedula albicollis, the collared flycatcher.
In this release we updated again most of the common model organisms.

As usual, the data of the previous releases is still available for download.

Coming up: new release with 1613 genomes

Dear OMA users,

we have finished the computation of a new data set with 1613 genomes.

The new data set will be available in the OMA Browser within the next days. This can cause a short interruption of the web server. Sorry for any inconveniences. The data of the current release will afterwards be available in the OMA Browser Archive.

Unscheduled Maintenance

Dear OMA Browser users,

due to some unscheduled maintenance efforts, the OMA Browser had to be shut down. We expect to finish the work by 10am CET.
